Problem

Employee performance reviews were delinquent company-wide, with some up to two years late. The company had no electronic system to manage performance even though compensation was linked to performance. The team-based environment required 360 degree feedback from team members, making HR's job to manage this process more challenging.

Methodology

10xSolutions used the associates' job descriptions as a basis for the development of a corporate-wide competency dictionary that was incorporated into the online system. In addition, we identified client's requirements for an intranet-based performance management system. The application was developed from scratch and implemented within six months. We also facilitated process improvements for all HR processes.

Result

The automated system reduced HR administrative time by 40% for the performance management process. Team leaders and team members were delighted with the system's intuitive design and ease of use. On-time reviews increased to nearly 100%. And HR received the highest ratings of all corporate-office-shared service departments within one year of implementation.
